During long-term storage of vessels shrink wrapping is available to provide exceptional protection from the elements.   Chandlery Our policy is simple; we are committed to maintaining a very large stock and to offer old-fashioned standards of over the counter service and advice, while selling at very competitive prices.   Engineering Engineering specialized in marine diesels and are capable of anything from routine servicing and minor repairs to full engine overhaul, reconditioning, or a new installation. We are agents for a number of major suppliers like Volvo Penta Yamaha, Yanmar CAT and MAN and we are highly experienced with most other major brands including Perkins and others. Our facilities are temperature controlled with extraction and zoned lighting allowing us to spray to the very highest standards. If there is a problem found, we deal with this quickly and effectively with HOT VAC. This system will not only dry your hull rapidly but also remove, in a controlled process, trapped solvents. Rigging Sopromar’s Rigging Department is staffed and equipped to meet the rigging needs of most yachtsmen. Sopromar’s have a custom built rigging workshop enabling work to be carried out under cover on the majority of masts handled We carry large stocks of stainless steel wire and have hydraulic roll swaging machines capable of handling up to 20 mm wire. There is also a smaller mobile unit that can deal with many jobs at your boat. A comprehensive range of the latest yachting ropes, wire and terminals from the world’s leading manufacturers are always in stock and we can make up rigging to individual requirements. Our staff are knowledgeable sailors who can advise you on any rigging questions.   Inox Sopromar’s Stainless have skills to produce an almost infinite range of fabrications in marine grade stainless and stainless tube. Our purpose built fully equipped workshop has facilities to weld, cut, shape, drill and polish and our engineers are experienced and imaginative. We can produce almost any yacht fitting in stainless steel (or aluminium). Typically we make fabrications such as rudder stocks, stem head fittings and chain plates. In tube, round and oval, we make bow and stern pulpits, handrails, boarding ladders, spray hood and bimini frames, radar posts and the like. We can also fabricate custom stainless fuel and water tanks. If you have a particular requirement for a fitting or component we may be able to design something for you by putting our experience to work. Where required, our staff will be pleased to visit your yacht to measure up or make patterns.
