Sopromar, founded in the 1970s by João Batista da Silva Pereira in Lagos, began as a company specializing in the repair and maintenance of fishing vessels, formally registering the name in 1993. Over the years, the Sopromar Group has grown by investing in its facilities and team training. It is now located in Lagos, Portimão, Vilamoura, and Algés.
In the Algarve, with two complete nautical stores, we offer products from the best brands and maintenance and repair services both at the shipyard in Lagos and at the Marina where your vessel is located. With gantries of various capacities, a 25-ton crane, and a lift platform up to 30 meters, we have the capability to handle various types of vessels, including catamarans, with the CrocLift machine acquired in 2018 and built specifically for this purpose.
We are specialists in maneuvering vessels for various needs, always focusing on a clean Nautical Center and the preservation of nature and the marine environment.
In Lagos, we have dry storage capacity for about 350 vessels and 200 in Algés, offering modern and fully equipped facilities for our clients. In 2022, with the inauguration of the new Nautical Center in Algés, we expanded our response capacity in the region.
